iPhone/iPod Must Have Apps

Offmaps 2 : Pre-download entire city maps to use when you do not have data connection. You can still have a good GPS reading in cities whenever you are near a wifi connection (whether you are connected or not). You can’t search custom addresses, but you CAN do subway map overlays which is more useful than the native iphone map app.

To turn the ipod into a US Cell Phone when tethered to data/wifi:
-Google Voice Account + GV Connect App. Free voice mail, texting, permanent number.
-Whistle Account – Free calls up to 20 minutes. Receive and make calls, no voice mail, yes permanent number.

Crunchfu & Pushupfu: it actually gets you to exercise because it yells at you and counts how many crunches you are doing!

Shazam / Soundhound: you tell it to listen to what song is playing and it locates song title/artist info.

Google Latitude: Track where your friends are.. useful if traveling abroad.

Find iPhone: to track your lost iphone and remotely wipe data

Pano: Make panoramic photos

SeeSee: Password protected photo folders

Doodlebuddy: No paper handy? quickly draw on your screen and save/send image!
